Rest Days!

Do you ever feel guilty for taking a rest day? I know sometimes I do, but we have to remember that rest days are necessary for our training schedules. Rest days are extremely important because they help prevent injury and allow your muscles the rest they need to be able to recover and regrow. When you are building muscle you are technically tearing your muscle fibers, so a rest day allows your body the time to repair and regrow the muscles. I have a lot of clients that become concerned their performance will decrease if they take a day off but it takes about 2 weeks of inactivity to see any true changes in performance. So make sure you utilize those rest days! They are good for you physically and mentally!
