Morning Stretching

Many of us are guilty of hitting the snooze button in the morning (I might hit it up to 3 times) so tomorrow morning instead of hitting that snooze button get up and do some light stretching before the craziness of the day starts! Light stretching is a great way to energize your body and ease away any tightness from the previous day or an abnormal sleeping position. Below I have listed a few stretches:
Start by reaching straight up into the air, elongate your spine and then incorporate a side stretch and stretch out those oblique’s. Next roll your neck and shoulders, tension can build up in your neck and shoulders from sleeping. Next, lay down on your back and perform a spinal twist, this is a great way to relieve stress in your lower back. Then roll to your side and perform a quad stretch and end with a hamstring stretch.
I promise your will feel more energized if you get up and give these stretches a try instead of hitting that snooze button one more time!
