Lower Ab Exercises

One of the most common “problem” areas clients come to me with is their lower stomach. Unfortunately the lower stomach is an area where your diet is more important than exercise. Abs are made in the kitchen, so make sure your diet is clean and you are eating for fuel not for fun. Having said that, there are certainly some exercises that will target your lower abs. I have attached a video demonstrating 4 great lower ab exercises that you can try. To ensure you are targeting your lower abs, make sure your hips are tucked under and your core is tight throughout all three exercises. The first two exercises require your lower back to be pressed to the ground through out the entire exercise. If you feel your lower back lifting from the ground limit your range of motion. Perform 10-15 reps of each exercise and repeat up to 3 times. As always come into Live Fit if you have any additional exercises.
