Today lets talk about a very important muscle group…your biceps. Your bicep is responsible for elbow flexion, or moving your hand toward your shoulder and is a grouping of muscles that includes the short head and the long head. The long head is what makes up the “bump” of your bicep and the short head is where the mass of the muscle is located. There are a lot of different exercises that can be used to increase strength and size of your bicep but certain exercises will target each part of your bicep. Bicep curls are great for overall development of your biceps but if you move your hands closer together you can target the peak of your bicep and if you move your hands wider you can target the short head, which will add mass to your bicep.
