How to maximize your workouts

Are you getting bored with your workout? Or maybe you are in a crunch for time so you want to get the most out of your 20-minute workout. Well check out the list below to get more out of your workout!
Add an additional component to the exercise: This can be done by adding weight to squats or doing your bicep curls balanced on one leg. Anytime you add an extra component you are burning more calories and working more muscles.
Add plyometrics or cardio bursts: If you typically walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes, try adding 20 second bursts of running every 5 minutes. While doing strength workouts add in squat jumps, jumping jacks, or jumping rope to increase that heart rate and burn more calories.
Try tempo variations: Add in pulsing squats after your normal ones; add an isometric hold after 15 squats. Any way to challenge your muscles in a different way will maximize your workout.
Don’t stop moving: try jogging from machines make sure you utilize every minute you have!
Follow a training schedule: If you have your workout laid out before you get to the gym you won’t waste time trying to figure out what to do next. Have a plan before you get there.
