Cold winter nights are a great time for a steaming hot drink such as hot chocolate or hot tea, but maybe you should consider the following the next time you’re a craving a hot beverage. Green has many health benefits due to the antioxidant content including reducing the risk of many types of cancer. It has also been known to burn fat, reduce the risk of neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and improve cholesterol levels. If you prefer black tea then you could benefit from the reducing in your risk of stroke and increasing lung function. When looking at herbal teas, they have many potential health benefits but they have less evidence and research to back up their healthy claims so do your own research if you want to learn more about these types of teas.
