Energy Bites

Looking for easy and healthy snacks is certainly a challenge for many of us and sometimes convenience wins out over sticking to your diet plans. Here is an idea for a healthy and easy snack that you can keep in the fridge for days at a time. Below are a couple recipes for what are called protein balls or energy bites and I have tried a couple and believe me they are good. You may have also heard about Royals players eating these before games to get that good combination of carbs and protein before exercising. These are also a good idea for a post workout snack as some of the recipes have quite a bit of protein to help your body recover and stimulate muscle growth. They are really easy to make and don’t require any baking, just rolling into a ball. Once you try a few recipes you can substitute certain ingredients to make them to your preferred taste! Below are a couple of links to some protein balls and energy bites!
